Santiago I have arrived!

Yo estoy hablando chileno por la primera vez y yo muy muy emociada por esto! ( I am speaking chileno spanish for the first time and I am so excited about this!)

So the plane rides were interesting...I met some pretty nice people. I learned immediately on the first flight that Erin is one of those people that I love to sit next to on planes...the ones that just star talking and tell you their whole life story. It was hilarious to over hear her rambling all of her life to this 40 year-old man next to year. 

Oh and it was hilarious...as we were getting off the flight in Santiago...I turned around as Erin was putting her blanket and pillow in the bag on the seat. And I asked, "Did you fold your blanket and pillow and put it back in the bag?"...She never even took it out! She didn't realize that it wasn't all just a pillow and she just slept on the plastic and froze without a blanket. I laughed pretty hard over that one. :)

So the day has been pretty  crazy so far...of course once we got to the airport they just had to lose one of my bags. I was all stressed out (because this is what I do)...but the airlines told me it should arrive tomorrow and be taken over to the hotel for me. I am soo crossing my fingers since it has all of my warm clothes and makeup and toiletries. BUT I am being positive and all the girls are great and have offered to lend me things if need be. :)

And to top it all off... at the hotel our room wasn't ready so we are bunking for the day with some other girls. Its a little disorienting and crazy but I think once we get all situated and I get my bags I will feel a bit more comfortable. 

We are about to shower and rest at the hotel and then head out for lunch and then explore Santiago! I will take all kinds of photos and post more later!
