Day two... RAINY!

Chilean flag. Oh and Juan Francisco... one of the staff of ISA.
This is the only virgen that has wings...and I of course thought it was pretty interesting!

This was a neat sculpture at La Moneda...there were so many awesome ones though.
Me and one of the men at the Palacio Presidencial La Moneda..(the presidential palace). This guy followed us around the whole place...apparently they don't trust us.

It was amazing to actually get some sleep last night... but some more would have been nice too. We had an ISA orientation this morning after breakfast..where we learned all the safety tips for Chile. And we heard all kinds of stories of TERRIBLE things happening to some ISA students. I was pretty terrified after hearing all of it, but then again they were isolated cases and most people don't experience those things. It just opened my eyes a little bit.

We went to La Moneda today, it the presidential palace...but I guess the president doesn't actually live there, well thats if I understood the guide correctly. But the place was originally built to house the mint, but it turned into the home for the president instead. It was interesting inside, all kinds of beautiful artwork... but there were some little outside areas inside and since it was pouring that hindered things a bit.

we were supposed to be able to hang out more in downtown Santiago today, but since the rain was so hard (it was like flash flooding - I had to buy an umbrella on the street and I hate to use umbrellas!), we just went back to the hotel, got changed and found ourselves lunch. We had pizza today... it felt a little odd eating it in Chile, but let me tell you, I loved it! Actually all of the food so far has been good, I am a little surprised. It is a little difficult to find vegetarian, but not too bad.

Tonight, we have another orientation meeting and then the rest of the night is free to do whatever we want. I am sure it will consist of us going to eat, and then a lot of the kids want to go out tonight to check out the clubs. So it should be a fun night!

Oh and before I forget... my other bag arrived today! I was so happy, I almost hugged it! I am ready to get settled in Viña though and be able to unpack, because I still have no idea where everything is. But Linds did an amazing job packing for me... but she will be mad that I forgot to take photos. Lo siento Linds! I will be calling you in December to help me remember! haha
