Un poco de graffiti aca (a little bit of graffiti from here)
on the stairs in the photo above is a poem in the language of mapuche (one of the indigenous tribes here in chile) nobody knew what it said, but it was awesome to see. it was hidden in the middle of a neighborhood...just a really nice surprise.
So graffiti is really big here. I really need to start taking more pictures of it because some of it is amazing, like seriously some of the best artwork i have seen. valparaíso is a very artsy type of place, so the murals on the streets are incredible. these are just a few that i have seen. I will get some pictures of more i am sure.
also, i have a ton of pictures to share with you all, but i have been very busy the past couple of days with school and ISA activities. so i will write all about them very soon and then post a boat load of photos for everyone! because we went on a little tour and saw a beautiful area of valpo. its the area that most would probably see on the travel channel, or at least i have seen on there before. :) so it will be coming soon! but for now, i have to go to bed because i have to get up extra early tomorrow to go get my chilean id...i have no idea why i need it, but ISA tells me these things and i just do them. its kind of cool though :)
i hope everything is going well for everyone back at home! you all should email me or skype me and let me know how things are. even though i haven't felt homesickness yet, its a comfort to know that everyone is doing okay and to hear about all the things happening with everyone.
I am very excited for tomorrow too because we are getting to go out with our chilean brother tomorrow. he is taking us to the area they call the mall, to pick up a few things that we need, including a cell phone. and then i think he is showing us more around the city. we have a long weekend here, since this coming monday is a religous holiday here, so no school and more time to relax and enjoy life here in chile!
¡buenas noches!

Hi Britt,
The wall art is amazingly beautiful. :-) What was the metal post structure you were in at the beginning where you took the pictures from? I love the pictures of just the streets of the city. I am anxious to see more! I'll send you a gmail before I leave in the morning.
Love...Dad.
