July 3rd, Friday evening

Here are some photos of the view of my room! Since someone told me I need to put them up, yeah I'm talking about you linds ;)

Well ALOT has happened since I last blogged. On friday, I went out shopping with Javi and Erin, BUT I couldn't find a wonderful pair of botas (boots). I am really bummed, because I mean I found some cute ones but nothing that when I saw it I knew I had to have them. So I am just going to wait because I know when I am not looking they will appear. :) So after we had a lovely time shopping, we came home for once (dinner) and then went out with Marcello. We also met Constancia and Sergio and then a friend of theirs named Sebastian (but it sounds like seybastiaN with a lot of emphasis on the ending). The bar that we were originally going to go to was already full so we went to another place, it was called "Buffalo" and it was a kereoke (spelling?) bar. But everyone was singing spanish music from mexico, it was fun to read the words and sing along though. Oh and we were all VIP, we got our own special room upstairs with plush chairs and sofas and it had a balcony so we could watch everyone down below singing. I wanted to order a vodkacran, but I guess no one knows what cranberry juice is here, so I got vodka with strawberry juice instead. It kind of tasted like a smoothie/margarita type thing, but it was WAY strong. I don't know why, but these crazy chileans love their drinks (traigos) muy fuerte (VERY strong). We ended up singing a couple songs: erin and constancia sang michael jackson "black and white", all us girls sang a backstreet boys song, then the whole group sang "we will rock you" by queen, and then marcello and constancia sang a couple mexican songs. It was so fun. Oh and later on in the night a live band starting singing, of course in spanish, and it was a blast. Marcello tried to teach erin and me how to salsa, but I am slowly realizing that I have no idea how to move my hips or if I really have rythm. Haha. But it was fun to try and attempt. Javi was telling me that she wants to take me to go dance reggaeton, because everyone can dance to that. Haha. Oh she is taking pity on me. haha. But yeah it was quite the long night, especially because I was tired before going out. We didn't get home until 4 in the morning, and that is early here! So needless to say I was absolutely exhausted on saturday since I only got 4 hours of sleep. It was awful waking up the next morning and realizing I was covered in the smell of smoke. Oh and thats another thing I can't remember if I have told you guys, but it is really popular here to smoke, like tons of people do it. It is really cheap and very common. Thankfully my family doesn't smoke, just Marcello and sometimes javi in social settings. But yeah so saturday same REALLY early!

I will write about the rest of the weekend in my next time to blog, but I have a lot to talk about, so look forward to my rambling! :)
